The police reported the case of Artan, the lead singer of Timpuri Noi, who admitted, following the accusations, that he had kissed a teenage girl without consent

In a press release, in which it does not directly name the soloist Adrian Pleșca, the Capital Police reports that “it has officially reported the issues reported in the online environment, in order to establish the factual situation”. The institution also announces that, until this moment, “no criminal complaint has been filed and there is no direct notification from the people involved”.
In a post that went viral on social networks, the mother of an 18-year-old girl accused Adrian Pleșca, known by the stage name Artan, of “harassing” her daughter at an event in a restaurant in Bucharest and then going “to another young girl, whom he also kissed on the cheek, also without her consent.”
Almost a day after the post, “Policemen from the 12th Police Department have officially reported the issues reported online, in order to establish the factual situation and the conditions under which the incident would have taken place,” the Capital Police announced in a press release.
The institution said it “will continue to carefully monitor the situation and take all necessary legal steps.”
“Any person who believes that their rights have been violated or has been the victim of a criminal act is encouraged to immediately contact the nearest police unit or call the single emergency number 112, so that the authorities can intervene promptly and order the necessary legal measures,” the statement added.
The Capital Police also made some “preventive recommendations”:
- Do not hesitate to report inappropriate or aggressive behavior, even if you are not the direct victim;
- If you feel in danger in a public or private space, seek immediate support (from venue staff, relatives or authorities);
- We encourage the affected persons to keep any audio-video evidence or witnesses that can support the establishment of the truth;
- Reporting to the authorities is essential to prevent the repetition of such acts and to ensure a safe public space for all citizens.
Artan: “I kissed her because I saw her more like this, more thoughtful”
Contacted by HotNews to comment on the online allegations, Adrian Pleșca, known as Artan, said he kissed a “young and pretty girl”, reasoning “that I saw her more like this, more thoughtful”.
“The young and pretty girl I kissed because I saw her more like that, more thoughtful… She had emotions. It was a meeting of poetry and music. I'm closer, I don't keep my distance just like that,” declared Artan.
Asked if he knew the girl in question and if she gave him permission to kiss her, the artist replied: “I didn't know the girl. I realized that she didn't (ed.: she had consent) and then I gave up. If you don't like something, I helped you with everything I could.”
