Peace plan for the Gaza Strip. Media: Hamas is considering Trump's proposal

US President Donald Trump announced during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Israel Binjamin Netanyahu on Monday a 20-point peace plan for the Gaza Strip, and the Israeli leader confirmed that he was correct. Trump pointed out that he hopes that Palestinian Hamas will do it too.

The plan provides an immediate, durable truce in exchange for releasing all Israeli hostages by Hamas. Hamas, like other Palestinian militias, would renounce power over the Gaza Strip and lay down their weapons. Hamas members who would agree to these conditions could stay in the Gaza Strip, while others – leave it safely.

-What was said at a press conference goes towards the Israeli perspective-he is close to what he pressed (the Prime Minister of Israel Binjamin) Netanyahu to continue the war-said Hamas Hamas Mahmud Mardavia's higher official on Al-Jazira television.

Another member of Hamas Tahir Al-Nono told Al-Arabi TV that the group can give up power over the Gaza Strip, but will not disarm. This position was previously presented by more representatives of Hamas.

What does Donald Trump assume?

Trump's plan provides for the replacement of Hamas with a temporary Palestinian administration supported by international stabilization forces. Their work would be supervised by an international body led by Trump himself. Ultimately, the reformed Palestinian autonomy would take power over the Gaza Strip.

The agreement also assumes a gradual retreat of Israeli troops and an immediate increase in the influx of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and starting the reconstruction of this territory.

The head of the Palestinian Islamic jihad (drink) eating al-nakhala said that The American proposal is “a recipe for blowing up the region in the air”. Drink is the second largest group of armor in the Gaza Strip and holds some of the Israeli hostages.

Trump threatened to prevent further Israeli warfare if Hamas rejected the proposal. Netanyahu renewed this threat, announcing that in the event of a refusal to Hamas, Israel would “finish the work himself.”
