Queen Mary of Romania (1875 – 1938), a granddaughter of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom, was one of the most charismatic royal personalities of the beginning of the 20th century. Artist, writer and state man, Queen Maria played an essential role in the international recognition of Greater Romania at the Paris Peace Conference, after the First World War.

The exhibition, which marks 150 years since the birth of Queen Maria and has been opened on September 18, 2025, can be visited, for free, at The King's Foundation Garrison Chapel in Chelsea, London, until October 12.
