An investigation in absentia was launched against comedian Slava Komissarenko, reported the Investigative Committee of Belarus
Komissarenko is accused of inciting hatred, as well as slander and insulting the country's President Alexander Lukashenko. In his speeches, Komissarenko called Lukashenko “Chyk-Chyryk” and joked about him.
In 2021, the comedian was banned from performing in Belarus. Later he left Russia, explaining this by persecution by the Belarusian KGB.
