Ambassador found dead in front of a hotel in Paris after his wife received a worrying message

The Southern Africa ambassador to France was found dead near the Hyatt Regency hotel, a Turn building from Porte Maillot, western Paris, the newspapers Le Parisien and Le Figaro announced on Tuesday, according to Reuters.
A Paris police spokesman refused to comment. Calls to South Africa Embassy have remained unanswered. A Hyatt receptionist said that the hotel will not comment.
The website of the embassy mentions that ambassador Nkosini Emmanuel “Nath” MTHETHWA was the Minister of Arts and Culture in South Africa between 2014 and 2019, and the Minister of Sport was also between 2019 and 2023.
The ambassador was disappeared by his wife after receiving a text message from him who worried, Le Parisien wrote.
A spokesman for the Department of Foreign Affairs of South Africa said that officials “are aware of the unfortunate reports on ambassador Nahi Mthethwa” and that they will issue a statement once there will be official information.
