The local councilor who collapsed by plane to Iasi will be transferred abroad. Doctors amputated his legs and his condition remains critical

Marian Jan Chiriță, the pilot who collapsed by plane on Saturday, September 27, near Iași, will be transferred to a specialized clinic from abroad, the man's condition is still critical.

The pilot, who is also a local councilor from Gold, is in critical condition in the hospital “Saint Spiridon” from Iasi. It is intubated, mechanically ventilated and has burns on about 35 percent of the body surface, writes news.ro.

“Plastic surgery interventions are performed and transfer to a center in Europe will be requested. Until then intensive care treatment will be performed”said the doctor Diana Cimpoeşu, the coordinator of UPU-SMURD Iasi.

The doctors amputated both legs, the intervention taking place at the hospital in Iasi.

The other patient injured in the plane accident is admitted to the same hospital, having a hemodynamic and respiratory state.

The incident took place on September 27, when the plane collapsed in the perimeter of a military unit subordinated to the 198 logistics support, “Prut”, Dancu, Iași.

After the collapse, the plane was filled with flames, and the firefighters, supported by the unit's military, intervened to extinguish the fire. There were two men, aged 55 and 51, who were transferred to the “Saint Spiridon” Hospital in Iași.

The 55 -year -old man has severe and thoracic burns, third and 4 grade, while the 51 -year -old suffered multiple trauma.
