Laszlo Dioszegi, the owner of Sepsi, and Attila Hadnagy, the club's sports director, spoke to GSP.ro about Pulling the group of Betano Romanian Cup at the Betano Cup. The leaders of the club in Liga 2 also detailed the situation regarding the match with Csikszereda.
Laszlo Dioszegi contacted the Ciucani to make the game scheduled at the Miercurea Ciuc stadium to play at Sf. Gheorghe, the stadium being higher, with double capacity.
Sepsi's ones are now waiting for the team from Superliga, as Laszlo Dioszegi said for GSP. Also, the management of the Covăsnean club commented on the gaf from the draw of the FRF.
According to the initial announcement, the wrong one, Sepsi had to play with Steel, Sporting Lieşti and Csikszereda. The subsequent, FRF announced the correct target, and Sepsi found out he would play, in fact with U Cluj and Metal Buzău. The match with Ciucanii remained standing, the two being in the same ballot box, so the old regulation, and the new one, would have met.
Attila Hadnagy: “It was really crazy”
“We are trying to play at home with Csikszereda, to see if he accepts. It was a crazy shoot. For the first time, some matches were put on the site, then others. It was crazy, I don't think anyone understood who he plays with.
For us it was a bit difficult. Travel to Csikszereda, home with U Cluj, then another travel. You are in Liga 2 and you play two matches away. Some rules even crazy.
We have a big lot, the players who have evolved less. Of course, we want to qualify, but we know it will be very difficult. With U Cluj and Csikszereda, plus away to Metal Buzău, it will not be easy. But we will see after the first matches whether we have any chance or not, “said Attila Hadnagy, for GSP.
Laszlo Dioszegi: “I got in touch with those from Csikszereda”
“We have a bigger stadium, it would seem to me that more fans can come to us, only 2,500 fans enter Csikzereda. I also got in touch with Csikszereda. We are waiting for their answer to see what is happening. According to the initial program, we had to play at home with them. After that, I saw that everything was changed.
Many fans called me that they want to see the match and it would be a local derby, it is normal that many would like to see the match live. I thought that at the stadium we have room for everyone. If they agree I would organize the match without any problems.
When I saw the opponents, it seemed to me that we could beat each other and we would have a chance to move on. I saw that we were playing with Csikzereda on the move if so, we play with U Cluj and we go to the synthetic from Metalul Buzău. So the chances are much lower than the first draw.
I don't comment anymore, because I saw so much. We must say, it is not the most important goal for us. We will not take the Romanian Cup from above, but the championship is much more important, ”said Laszlo Dioszegi, for the Sports Gazette.
