Report for what the Bessarabians in Bucharest voted for at the Moldovan elections. Between the “clear sky” and “the great conflict”

Bucharest was an important place on Sunday for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova who voted in the parliamentary elections. From students to elderly, from supporters of the European route to people who say they want “a change”, they all voted in the Capital. HotNews was in the polling stations in the Romanian capital to find out what the Moldovans want for their country.
The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova, where one of the five polling stations in Bucharest is arranged, is located on Alexandru Aleea, in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Bucharest. A few elegantly dressed young people are standing next to the voting section. They came from 7 in the morning to vote, but they stayed near the embassy and discuss politics, vote and the future of the Republic of Moldova.
“The stake is very big”
Among them is Oleg Chiseliov, a student of the Faculty of History in Bucharest and the vice -president of the Association of Young Diplomati in Moldova.
Oleg says he voted with the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. He wants a European and Romanian Moldova, to be part of the “Great European Family”. He links the well -being of citizens to the European future: “This means European integration: peace, stability and development.
The young man talks about the “interference of the Russian Federation in these elections” and mentions “dirty money schemes” that involve politicians.
“I voted today with a good thought for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, for a European and Romanian Moldova, in the great European family. I also voted for the well -being of citizens, because that means European integration: peace stability and development. The stake is very high, we see the interference of the Russian Federation in these elections, we see this policy and the policy. The interests of the Republic of Moldova must be cataloged as such.

Most of those who vote at the embassy are young people close to the age of Oleg, girls and boys, dressed elegantly, as for a special day.
“We are united and we will overcome”
Between so many young people, at the open polling station at the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Bucharest we also meet Vasile Munteanu. He is 74 years old, and the family that accompanies him tells him “Bunul”.
He says he voted for Europe and has emotions for the result of today's vote. Asked if he believes that the Republic of Moldova will fall under Russian influence again, he goes back and says determined: “I do not believe! We are united and we will overcome!”

Among those who vote at this section are Alexandru Strîmbanu, a convinced unionist, who came to the vote dressed in traditional clothes.
He says he voted for the union, and the Republic of Moldova can not reach the European Union unless it joins Romania:
“Today I came for a better future of the Republic of Moldova, with a thought for union, I came to the thought of the generation.

“We have two ways”
On a few streets of the Embassy, on Ermil Pangrati street, is the consular section, where another voting section for the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova works. In front of the building, a girl makes a selfie with the sticker received inside. It is a big, blue sticker, which he writes “September 28, 2025. Parliamentary elections. I voted”.
Adelina Bucățeli is a student at the Faculty of Medicine in Bucharest, but she says, she chose to study in Romania does not mean that she is no longer interested in her country. He says he came to the vote with the European course and the desire to join the European Union, which means “a better future at home.”
“Today's vote and result will be a decisive one for our country. We have two ways: the first, where we will certainly be part of a great conflict, and the other, where we will continue to live under a clear sky. We hope for a beautiful result today,” she told Hotnews.

The center of the voters in Bucharest was right in the Old Center, in the sections organized at the Permanent Electoral Authority, near the National Bank of Romania, and on Stavropoleos Street, in the Romanian Social Development Fund building. For some, the movement in the center of the capital aroused confusion, as it was for a cyclist who asked, surprised, “What action is so many gendarmes?”
Between the two sections we find a group of young people from the Republic of Moldova carrying two flags, that of their country and that of the European Union. When I asked for the agreement to take a picture, they started laughing, saying that everyone wants to take pictures with them.

Stavropoleos street is full of foreign and Moldovan tourists who enter and leave the polling station.
Many of them came with the children, who play with the “I voted” sticker. Here we meet Andrei. He says he wants a change for the Republic of Moldova, motivating that “in 30 years nothing has been done.” He says he is not afraid of the result of the vote, because he trusts his fellow citizens.
“I came for a better future of the country of Moldova, because in 30 years nothing has been done and we hope now something to change for the better. I am not afraid of the result of today's vote, I trust the population of the Republic of Moldova,” Andrei told us.

“The maximum waiting time is 1-2 minutes. As I know our citizens and knowing how responsible they are, I don't think we will have queues at closing time, but we will see. We have voters of all ages, from students to the elderly,” says Nadia Darie, the president of the Voting Section.
It was the polling station in Bucharest where most voters came. And to the others, people came to vote throughout the day, but without forming queues.
