An Ukrainian driver wanted to enter Romania with a small fortune. Was left without money

The driver of a minibus registered in Ukraine tried to enter Romania on Thursday afternoon at Vama Halmeu with 2.4 million Czech crowns he did not declare. This means about 500,000 lei.
According to a statement from the Border Police, the 39 -year -old man presented around 16.30 at the border point, on the way to enter Romania. He was subjected to a thorough control by a common control team made up of customs inspectors and border guards, using the canine service crew.
Immediately they discovered in his luggage the sum of 2.4 million CZK (Czech crowns), the equivalent of about 500,700 lei. Because he could not justify the money, the customs inspectors of the Halmeu customs office detained the entire amount and applied to the driver a fine of 5,000 lei.
