US President Donald Trump on Thursday at a meeting with Turkey leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the White House said that he would like Ankara to stop buying oil from Russia.
Trump informed that he would talk to Erdogan about the sale of F-35 and F-16 aircraft and Patriot systems. The topic of talks is also to be trade.
He emphasized that in the event of a good conversation with Erdogan, the USA may almost immediately bear sanctions against Turkey.
The US President repeated on Thursday that he was very disappointed with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. I think it's time for the war to end – he added.
– (Russia) fights hard and long, they lost a million soldiers. Despite the hard bombing in recent weeks, they have not gained almost any territory – added Trump.
– Russia spent millions of dollars on bombs, missiles, ammunition, human life, and they did not gain virtually any territory. I really think it's time for it to end – said the president.
