The situation in the parish Our Lady of the Rosary in Rybnik Niedobczyce is all the more difficult because she has been building a new church for 16 years, and now stands in front of the specter of the auction of property. Services take place in the barrack, and the future of the community is in question.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Fr. Dariusz Kreihs signed a contract with Orlen for the purchase of disinfecting fluids. The clergyman did this without the consent of the Katowice archdiocese. The archdiocese itself did not explain how it happened.
As “Fakt” explains, the parish planned to sell them to the faithful in the form of bricks, which will then help finance the construction of a new temple. Unfortunately, the interest in the liquid from the priest was negligible, and some of the fluid batch disappeared. As a result, the parish did not pay ORLEN 221 thousand. zloty.

Orlen confirmed that during Pandemia he carried out similar orders for other parishes, but all were correctly settled. Press spokesman for the Archdiocese of Katowice, priest Rafał Bogacki, referred to the case in conversation with “Fakt”. “Due to the internal procedure conducted by the Archdiocese of Katowice, we do not reveal details,” he explained, avoiding the answer to the questions about the lack of consent of the diocesan economist to the transaction.
