Video EU chief talked to Trump about Russia's “challenges” in the airspace

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said on Tuesday that he had discussed with US President Donald Trump about repeated air spaces by Russia and agreed to reduce Moscow's energy income, AFP reports.
During a meeting with Trump in the margin of the General Assembly of the United Nations, in New York, the EU chief said he raised the US president's issue with “Kremlin challenges, especially constant incursions into the European airspace.”
Von Der Leyen also stated that they have agreed “on the need to quickly reduce Russia's income from fossil fuels” to put pressure on Moscow for the war in Ukraine, at the same time emphasizing EU plans, namely to accelerate efforts to complete such purchases.

Previously, during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski, in the margin of the same event, US President Donald Trump said NATO countries should break down Russian aircraft if they enter the airline of the Atlantic Alliance.
