“There is a terrible hysteria around our military pilots, who allegedly violated some of the recipes and broke into some airspace,” Pieskov said and added that these accusations are “unjustified”.

On Tuesday, the President of the United States Donald Trump expressed the view that NATO countries should shoot down Russian aircraft violating their airspace.

Over the past two weeks, drones or Russian aircraft have fallen into the airspace of NATO countries three times. Russia denied reports to this every time. On Tuesday, NATO warned Moscow that this escalation must end and assured that it was ready to defend itself.

On Monday, the dishes had to close the airport in Copenhagen for a few hours after the drones of unknown origin. On the night of September 9-10, about 20 drones flew into Poland; Allied fighters shot down three of them. Romania and Estonia also reported a violation of the airspace. (PAP)
