Christmas surprise. This is how prices in stores have changed


PLN 102 and 99 groszy – this is how much we currently pay on average for a shopping cart – according to an analysis by experts of the PanParagon application for Business Insider Polska. This is less by 0.7 percent. than in the previous week – but also by approximately 3%. less than at the same time in 2024.
On a weekly basis, we have seen a lot of price drops. We pay more than 9% for chicken breast. less, and for apples – by 4.7%.

Butter is also getting cheaper. Here the price shrank by over 4%. — and currently we pay on average PLN 7.28 for 200 g.
There are also increases. By 5.3 percent the price of raspberry tomatoes increased, and by 5%. — red pepper. However, the prices of milk and rolls remained unchanged compared to the previous week.
How much is inflation in Poland
The Central Statistical Office data on price increases have recently been quite optimistic. Inflation in Poland in November 2025 was 2.4%. year on year, which means a decrease from 2.8 percent in October. However, food and alcohol prices are growing faster – by 2.7%. on an annual basis.
