Elena Udrea: “The parallel state has no roots, they are remnants of this system.” What about Diana Iovanovici-Şoşoaca's file

Former minister Elena Udrea stated, at Antena 3, that the “parallel state” who would orchestrate his sentence to prison no longer has the influence of formerly, being several groups that would face for influence on the political environment.

Elena Udrea claims that she is the only first -rate politician who has been sentenced in recent years, the rest escaping, even though this has led to the stop of their political career.

The accusations made to Florian Coldea

She claims that there was a deliberate “decimation” plan of the Romanian political elite implemented by a so-called parallel state. “In recent years I have learned that the system was not thought here, but implemented here. Florian Coldea was found, very good in the role received, but the plan was not Romanian,” believes the former Minister of Development.

She claims that the plan began to take place in full 2015, when DNA was making frequent arrests among politicians. Udrea also streams that some businessmen who have managed to avoid prison “were destroyed”.

“The executions that were, if some were enjoyed, it is possible, but the strategy belonged to the parallel state, which arrested on the brother of President Basescu, me. The parallel state was led by Florian Coldea. The file in which he is involved is a evidence that who controlled the justice was the parallel state,” says Elena Udrea.

He would have lost his influence in recent years, following his fragmentation in several groups.

“The parallel state has no roots. There are remnants of this system, I do not think there is a leader as powerful as Florian Coldea. There are several groups: around Mr. Hellvig (former director of SRI – n.red.) And of SPP chief Lucian Pahonțu. There is no force of the parallel state since then.” commented Elena Udrea.

Referring to the influence that the current head of the European Prosecutor's Office would have, Udrea invoked the criminal file opened against Diana Şoșoaca.

Udrea, convicted in the file “Gala Bute”

Former Minister of Tourism Elena Udrea, sentenced to 6 years in prison in the Gala Bute file, was released on July 17, after performing 3 years and 10 months in prison. The decision was taken by the Prahova Tribunal.

Elena Udrea was sued in 2015 and definitively convicted in June 2018 in the file known to the public as “Gala Bute”, but she fled before the sentence was pronounced, being detected and incarcerated in Costa Rica.

Subsequently, in December 2018, the Constitutional Court decided that the law was not respected when the completions of 5 judges from this court were constituted. Thus, the convictions in the “Gala Bute” file were suspended, Udrea was released from the arrest in Costa Rica and returned to Romania.

In April 2022, based on a decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union, the Supreme Court rejected the annulment appeal filed by Elena Udrea and confirmed the sentence to six years in prison. Elena Udrea fled to Bulgaria, but was caught and sent to the country.

According to DNA, Udrea coordinated a system by which the closest people received, with his science, amounts of money from representatives of commercial companies to guarantee the timely payment of the ministry they were running.

The amounts obtained, the investigators showed, entered either directly into the heritage of Elena Udrea (in cash or by paying goods and services), or in the patrimony of some people indicated by it (the Bucharest organization of the PDL and Rudel Obreja).
