The RM Sotheby's auction house will auction a Mercedes 190 E 2.3-16 series from 1985, which belonged to the triple Formula 1 Champion, Ayrton Senna. The company's specialists estimate that the car could sell between 300,000 and $ 340,000.

This is a car similar to the one with which Senna participated in the inauguration race of the Nürburgring renovated circuit. In 1984, 9 World Formula 1 champions and two of the talented young people at that time: Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna competed.

They all drove slightly modified cars, the same model – Mercedes 190, and Senna received the one with the number 11. The Brazilian was the third in qualifications, outdated by stupid and Carlos Reutemann, but then won the race, which took place in the rain.

The 2.3-16 version of the 190 model liked Senna so much that she ordered such a car and, in October 1985, went personally to pick it up from one of the Mercedes factories.

The Brazilian drove the car for two years, then sold it because he moved from England to Monaco. Its turnover was below 25,000 miles, and the next owner was Robin Clark, a friend of Senna's manager, Julian Jacobi.

The car is auctioned with its original documents, including purchase documents, where Senna's name appears, and as a bonus, under the hood is the autograph of another triple world champion – Niki Lauda.
