After a while, Winkler directed the laser to the flying presidential helicopter, which created a direct threat to the safety of the machine and crew with Donald Trump on board. The US president was just leaving the White House.

Santiago stopped the man, took him a laser indicator and put on handcuffs. According to the case file, which the NBC News station reached, Winkler fell to his knees and began to say: “I should apologize to Donald Trump” and “Sorry, Donald Trump.” A knife with a blade with a length of about 7.5 cm was found with a detainee.

During the interrogation, Winkler confessed to the alleged deeds and stated that he did not know that it was illegal. Now he faces up to five years in prison and a fine of 250,000. dollars (over PLN 1 million). The indictment in this case was received by the court on Monday.
