The entire traffic from the largest airport in Denmark, located in Copenhagen, was interrupted after the observation of drones, police announced on Monday, according to Reuters.
“(Airport) is currently closed for offspring and landings, because 2-3 large drones have been observed by flying in the area. The duration of this situation is currently unknown,” the police said, in a statement published on the social network X.
Copenhagen Airport, the busiest in the Nordic Countries Region, interrupted its operations at 20:26 (18:26 GMT), according to the FlightTradar flight tracking service.
About 35 flights were redirected to alternative airports, Flightradar said in a message published on X.
An airport spokesman announced that the police work to identify drones, but refused to provide additional details, invoking the investigation.
