Dr. Piasecka on Monday at the PAP studio, asked about Russia's disinformation activities on the Internet, including about the theses of the Ukrainian provocation regarding last week's attack of Russian drones, she emphasized that one of the most important goals in the Russian information war is to deepen social polarization, and in terms of possibilities, also radicalizing two parties to political dialogue, which is involved in him.

According to the analysis of the European analytical collective Res Futura, over 60 percent. Internet comments on drone attack contain elements of Russian narrative. False information is distributed by anonymous users of Platform X.

– When it comes to playing Poland on the Internet and Poles against each other, the Russians actually only have successes, failures can probably count on one hand. We are an extremely divided society, which in addition has been in the crosshairs of these activities for years – said Dr. Piasecka.

An expert on hybrid war referred to reports of European research institutions of 2016, which in her opinion indicated that with the polarization of our society it was not necessary to create new points of the dispute, because these were already clearly outlined.

– It was enough to only operate with the help of, for example, adding, although it may sound abstractly, such a memical layer. Memes were used by Russia simply as a weapon in sharpening this Polish-Polish conflict. So what is happening at the moment I would rather treat as a continuation of the polarizing campaign, which is so effective precisely because it has been succeeded for years – she assessed.

Dr. Piasecka noticed that in a discourse we have lost the ability to exchange arguments, which we exchanged for exchanging our positions. She added that both sides of the political dispute behave not as if they were looking for the truth, but they have somehow, which is significantly difficult to dialogue.

– One of the most important things that the state should do and should strive for is the creation of public, reliable sources of information that would be strong enough to both the ends of this dialogue, both ends of the spectrum, if not with sympathy, at least with respect referred to their information message – she emphasized.

The network is repeated false theses accusing Ukraine of an incident suggesting provocation, redirecting drones and a lack of warning or intentional escalation. Minister of digitization Krzysztof Gawkowski referred to these allegations on Wednesday during a press conference. He noted that Poland is the purpose of hybrid activities in the area of misinformation, and one of the main narratives reproduced by Russian sources is to attempt to transfer responsibility for violation of Polish airspace to the Ukrainian side. – Ukraine does not draw Poland into the war. Those who say differently lie. It is Russia who is responsible for this attack – emphasized Gawkowski.

At night from Tuesday to Wednesday, during Russia's attack on Ukraine, the Polish airspace was violated by drones. According to previous information, there have been 19 violations, and drones constituting a direct threat were shot down.
