Starmer and Trump talked about pressure on Putin. Or only about the purchase of Russian oil? Two versions

The video is published in the YouTube of the White House.

Starkmer noted that he and Trump are working on the cessation of murders in Ukraine.

“In recent days, Putin showed his true face, organizing the largest attack from the beginning of the invasion, with new victims among innocent people and unprecedented violations of NATO airspace. These are the actions of a person who does not want peace,” the British prime minister emphasized.

Starmer recalled that the agricultural country of the Russian Federation attacked the British Council buildings, EU Embassy and Cabinet of Ministers in Kyiv, and then sent its UAVs to Poland.

“So we need to build up efforts. […] We need to exert additional pressure on Putin, ”the British Prime Minister said at a joint press conference with Trump.

According to Starmer, one of the topics of his meeting with Trump was the strengthening of the defense of the United States and Great Britain in order to “even more support Ukraine” and “decisively strengthen the pressure on Putin in order to force him to agree to a peace agreement.”

The head of the White House after the statement of Starmer called the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which “could develop into the Third World War.”

On the way to the United States, journalists asked Trump what Starmer said about Ukraine specifically (audio recording on board Air Force One published Forbes on YouTube).

“He was a little embarrassed that I caught Europe. You know, NATO countries, EU countries – can be called one way or so because they are very similar – they buy oil from Russia. And he said that it was not good. I appreciate that he said so. […] How do you like this? We must do all this [против РФ]and they buy oil from Russia. This is not good, ”Trump answered.

According to him, Starkmer agreed that these countries should stop buying Russian oil.

Journalists clarified whether it was a question of sanctions, to which Trump answered in the affirmative.
