Judge Steven Merryday of Florida sharply criticized the 85-page lawsuit, brought by Trump against the journal, as too long and obstructing the principles regarding the submission of such documents. As he announced, the claim must be a concise and direct presentation of the allegations and facts in the case, while the political tyrada's political lawyers contained in the complaint against the journal were “definitely inappropriate and unacceptable”.

“Like every lawyer, he knows (or is believed that he knows), the lawsuit is not a public forum to throw insults and insults – he is not a protected platform for expressing rage at the opponent,” the judge wrote. Despite this, he gave Trump lawyers 28 days to improve the lawsuit, determining them a limit of document volume – 40 pages.

In the lawsuit submitted on Tuesday against the New York newspaper, four of her journalists and the Pnguin Random House publishing house, Trump demands $ 15 billion in compensation. The president accused the defendant with bias and defamation.

In a document written in a journalistic style, lawyers argued, among others that the “New York Times” became a spokesman for the Democratic Party and is allowed to “defamate and slander political opponents on an industrial scale.” The support of the editorial board of the newspaper, which – according to American tradition, was recalled – she gave Kamali Harris in the presidential election in 2024. The document is also praised at Trump.

The lawsuit against “NYT” is one of the series of Trump's activities against the mainstream media. Earlier he sued, among others “Wall Street Journal” for reports of a diary regarding a card about the sexual overtones that Trump was to write for his 50th birthday to his then friend, Jeffrey Epstein. In a similar way, Trump also sued ABC and CBS television, which went to a settlement with him, agreeing to pay $ 15 and 20 million to his foundation. In the case of CBS, the owner of the station, the Paramount company, soon after the settlement received the acceptance of federal authorities regarding the merger of Skydance Media, which resulted in accusations of corruption. On Thursday, “NYT” Executive Joseph Kahn announced that the newspaper was not going to be pressure and go to a settlement.

– He (Trump – PAP) is wrong about facts and about the law. We will fight and win it – Kahn declared.

On Thursday, Trump suggested that a license to broadcast in an open band may lose the largest public television because they broadcast the talk-show programs of critical comedians against the head of state. According to Trump, “they are not allowed to do this.” The president also called the NBC station to release the Talk-Show hosts, Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers. Earlier, Jimmy Kimmel, as unloved by the President, was suspended, and CBS did not extend the contract with another popular comedy talk show, Stephen Colbert.
