On Wednesday, the District Prosecutor's Office in Toruń presented Antoni K., son of the PiS politician and former president of TVP, the charge of three times rape in 2009 in Gdańsk and Danielin of minor Magdalena N., who was not at the age of 15 at the time of the event – the head of the 1st investigation department Rafał Ruta said.
Prosecutor Ruta emphasized that Antoni K. did not plead guilty to him and gave explanations that are contrary to the findings of the investigation. During the interrogation, the suspect used the help of two defenders. The victim's representative was also present.
The prosecutor applied preventive measures to the suspect in the form of a property guarantee of 30,000. PLN, a ban on leaving the country, police supervision combined with the obligation to inform about any change in the place of stay, a ban on contacting the victim in any way, and a ban on approaching the victim less than 50 meters.
Antoni K., according to the Act on counteracting threats to sexual crime and the protection of minors on Wednesday, was examined by expert psychiatrists, a psychologist and an expert sexologist.
The investigation will include verified explanations of the suspect, and it is also necessary to obtain a written opinion of expert psychiatrists, a psychologist and sexologist.
The investigation is extended until December 23, 2025.
Antoni K. in an interview with TVN24 said that he did nothing wrong and would make every effort to make the truth come out, and assess the whole matter as an attack on the Polish right and Polish family, an attack on his father, who – as he noted – is a bold right -wing politician.
Earlier, Antoni K. was dealt with by the District Prosecutor's Office in Gdańsk, but the investigation was discontinued twice – on August 3, 2017 and June 10, 2019. Then the case went to the Toruń prosecutor's office, which in September 2024 resumed the investigation. (PAP)
