BOŚ counts that the second half '25 will bring acceleration of the construction of credit balances

BOŚ Bank implements the strategy for 2025-2027 as planned and expects that the second half of 2025 will bring the acceleration of the construction of credit balances and further increase in the share of pro-ecological loans in total sales. The bank hopes that in financial terms it will be a period similar to the first half of the year – Bartosz Kublik, president of Bank Bartosz informed PAP Biznes.

“The management strategy of the Environmental Protection Bank for 2025-2027 is implemented in accordance with the assumptions. The chosen course brings measurable results-both in terms of the increase in the sale of pro-ecological loans supporting green transformation, as well as in building lasting partnerships for sustainable development of communities and local companies. Also, the first effects of cooperative banking.
“Despite the dynamic economic environment, which requires from us flexibility and continuous adaptation, the foundations of the strategy remain solid and current (…) I am convinced that the strategic goals set for 2027 will be achieved” – he added.
According to NBP data for the banking sector, after periodic weakening of the loan dynamics for enterprises in the first quarter, in the second quarter of 2025 the balance of enterprise loans clearly accelerated by growing by 7.7 percent. rdr.
“We expect that the second half of the year will bring a continuation of a stable increase in loan balance in the banking sector in lower interest rates and stable economic boom. We estimate that in December this year the dynamics of consumer loans and for enterprises will be shaped in the range of 6-7 percent, and mortgage loans around 2.5 percent RDR,” said Kublik.
The balance of loans in the BOŚ group at the end of the first half of 2025 amounted to PLN 10.08 billion, i.e. it was at a level similar to the balance at the end of 2024.

“In BOŚ, we expect acceleration in building credit balances. Anyway, the last months of the first half of the year were very good when it comes to the new BOŚ credit production. It takes some time for the continued high production of new loans to translate into a balance that can be seen in the balance sheet. There are also earlier repayments, but also those resulting from restructuring” – he added.
The sale of total loans by BOŚ in the first half of 2025 amounted to PLN 2,784.8 million and was by 45.3 percent. higher than a year ago. The increase in sales occurred in the segment of SMEs, micro, retail and corporate clients. The sale of pro -ecological loans grew faster during this period, which amounted to PLN 1,484.2 million and was 55.8 percent. higher than a year ago. Loans supporting sustainable construction, thermomodernization, energy and municipal economy dominated.
Over 53 percent loans and loans granted in the first half of 2025 were pro -ecological loans. In recent years, the participation of ecology in the new sales has increased from 40 percent. in 2021 to 48 percent in 2024.
“In the second half of the year, the participation of this type of loan in the total sale of loans can be even greater. This is a strategic goal. We want the credit portfolio to be mostly with such a pro -ecological nature,” said Kublik.
“The bank makes every effort to maximize the participation of pro -ecological transactions. You can indicate a number of bank initiatives in building a financial offer, for example, the development of cooperation with energy cooperatives, JST, the offer of financing agricultural microbiogas plants, or cooperation with NFOŚiGW and WFOŚiGW” – he added.
In the half year of 2025, the BOŚ Group had PLN 79.7 million net profit, i.e. by 58.7 percent. more than a year ago.
“The banking dynamics so far is very promising. We will make every effort to ensure that the second half of the year is at a similar level. One of the factors supporting the increase in results is the noticeable increase in the bank's balance, both in the aspect of obtaining customer deposits, as well as the construction of a credit portfolio,” said Kublik.
“The increase in the bank's balance sheet sum in the last few quarters is noticeable – especially against the background of the last 10 years. It is also our strategic goal. At the same time I am aware of how big the challenge is to achieve the scale and efficiency that is characterized by the Polish banking sector. I think it is absolutely possible” – he added.
In July 2025, BOŚ carried out bonds worth PLN 350 million.
“At the moment, the level of solvency coefficients is optimal. However, when it comes to subsequent issues, they result from capital needs. The needs are the result of many matters: the result from the activity that supplies spare capital, the pace at which the credit balances will grow, which require the greatest allocation of equity” – said Kublik.
“It is also important how much these new loans in the capital adequacy are weighing. Remember that some security classes effectively reduce this weight. We try to do this. Capital is a rare good and should be economically managed. So, all this is calculated and estimated every month. When we come to the conclusion that emissions are needed and sensible, we simply prepare it.”
At the end of June, the level of capital adequacy of the group remained above the values recommended by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. Tier and was 15.5 percent of the basic capital ratio, and the total capital ratio of 16.2 percent. (PAP Biznes)
