Russian drones over Poland. Pope: Poles are concerned


The Pope, leaving the property at Castel Gandolfo, told journalists who asked him about the last tensions with Russia: – NATO did not start any war. Poles are concerned because they feel that their space has been attacked. This is a very tense situation.
“Of course I'm concerned,” added Leon XIV, quoted by the Ansa agency.
Russian drones violated the Polish airspace
On the night of September 9-10, the Operational Command of the Armed Forces types reported that during the Russian Federation attack on Ukraine, Poland airspace was repeatedly violated by drones. As emphasized, “it was an act of aggression that created a real threat to the safety of our citizens.” Defense procedures were immediately launched at the order of the RSZ operational commander.

Those drones that pose a direct threat were shot down by Polish and allied aviation. It was the first case in the modern history of Poland, when the air forces used armament in the airspace of the country.
The head of the Presidential International Policy Office Marcin informed on September 12 that according to the President's Office 21 Russian drones crossed the Polish border. These reports were confirmed by the head of the Ministry of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
