Another drone was found in the province. Lublin, this time in the vicinity of Stanisławka in the Sitno commune – the Zamość police confirmed PAP. This is the 18th place of finding the object after violating the Polish airspace during Russia's attack on Ukraine last week.
Podkom. Dorota Krukowska-Bubało from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Zamość informed PAP that on Wednesday just before 11 officers received from a resident a report about finding a drone in a forest complex, later from the buildings around Stanisławka in the Sitno commune.
– The police patrol confirmed the notification. The officers secured the area. We also informed the District Prosecutor's Office in Lublin, which performs activities in this case – said the policewoman.
The first about the case was informed by RMF FM, which reported that the found drone was made mainly of polystyrene.
The investigation into all cases of finding drones in Poland, which from Tuesday to Wednesday came into our airspace, is conducted by the District Prosecutor's Office in Lublin, and the Military Department. 11 out of 18 facilities were found in the Lublin province.
In total, so far fragments of drones have been detected in five provinces: Lublin, Łódź, Warmian-Masurian, Masovian and Świętokrzyskie.
On the night of September 9-10, at least a dozen or so unmanneders violated the Polish airspace. Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that they were Russian machines. The Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said that drones that could be a threat were shot down. (PAP)
