“Who killed Charlie? Radicals on the left, and they will be held accountable.”said Prosecutor General Pam Bondi for ABC News in an interview with Monday. “Like anyone in this country that commits a violent crime against someone. And the death penalty, thanks to Donald Trump, is again on the table.”
However, the Attorney General did not offer a reason why the alleged suspect, Tyler Robinson, 22, would have killed Kirk last Wednesday, while he was talking about an event on an Utah campus.
Asked if Robinson acted alone, Bondi said the investigation is ongoing.
“For now, he is in custody and is accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk. I will not go into more details about other people, but we have it in custody for the assassinationshe said.
Bondi said that federal accusations are expected to be formulated in this case, but did not specify when, mentioning that he is collaborating with the state of Utah.
