A sad news fell in the Rapid family yesterday night, just a few days before the match with Hermannstadt. The older brother of coach Costel Gâlcă died.
The announcement, short, without much detail, was made on the Facebook page of the Giuleștean club: “The management, the staff and the players of the Rapid are with our coach, Constantin Gâlcă, in these difficult moments, marked by the loss of his brother. Our thoughts are heading for the grieving family!”
Quickly laid a crown yesterday
Sources in the world of football say that Gâlcă was very close to his brother, who was 56 years old and suffered for some incurable disease. During the Monday evening, a delegation of the Rapid took a crown to the place where the body of Costel Gîlcă was deposited and was with the technician, extremely affected by the loss suffered.
