Despite the war, the banking sector of Ukraine is stable. In 2024 60 banks worked on the marketand annual profit – UAH 103.7 billion. Some banks left the market by the decision of the owners, and there were no system bankruptcies – focus.
The volume of savings of citizens in banks exceeded UAH 1.2 trillion. Most of the funds are stored on short -term deposits. Lending – both business and individuals is actively developing. State programs, portfolio guarantees and foreign support work.
Among the main challenges 2025 are military risks, cyber threats and economic uncertainty. Banks adapt: new technologies, protection, preparation for changes. The sector is one of the most stable in the economy.
