The Latvian deputy Alexei Rodlikov opened a criminal case after his speech in support of the Russian language. He reported this himself. He is accused of “assisting the Russian Federation” and “inciting interethnic hostility.”
On June 5, Rodlikov defended the Russian -speaking population of the country and asked not to include a declaration “On the elimination of the linguistic consequences of Russification” on the agenda. For this he was kicked out of the hall.
