Minimum wage The process of determining the minimum wage increases will increase in 2026. The government presented its proposal to the Social Dialogue Council (RDS), which had time to express an opinion until July 15, 2025. However, no agreement was reached in the Social Dialogue Council. So how much will the lowest national?
According to applicable regulations, if no agreement was reached by mid -July, the government independently determines the minimum wage, at the latest by September 15. Last year, a similar regulation was issued on September 12.
It is worth noting, however, that the amount cannot be lower than that the government presented RDS in negotiations. What's in the government project?
According to the project of July 31, 2025. The minimum remuneration for work from January 1, 2026 is to be PLN 4806 gross, and the minimum hourly rate PLN 31.40.

If the proposal is approved, it will mean an increase of PLN 140 compared to the current minimum wage of PLN 4,666 gross. Employers, represented in RDS by employers, are satisfied with the government proposal, but trade unionists would like to increase by PLN 140, but by over PLN 250.
The decision, which will be made in the coming days, will affect the salaries of millions of Poles. However, it can already be seen that the increase will not meet the expectations of many employees who were hoping for a greater increase in the minimum wage in the face of rising living costs.
After deducting ZUS contributions and PIT tax, the real net amount that will go to the employee's account will of course be much lower.
