The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announces that the works on the site of the Hospital of Infectious Diseases in Oradea continues. The hospital is started by PNRR and further taken with European non -reimbursable funding.
The value of the project is 135 million euros, announces the Minister of Health.
“In Oradea one of the most important medical projects in Romania is raised: a new hospital for infectious diseases, started by PNRR and carried on with European non-reimbursable funding, through the Operational Health Program,” the Minister of Health said, in a message posted on Facebook.

Rogobete also says that “no health site will remain unfinished.”
“All the projects started, regardless of whether they have been launched by PNRR or transferred to other European programs, will be completed. In Oradea more than one hospital is built. Safety, confidence and protection for future generations are built,” the minister said.
The initiative of building the new hospital for infectious diseases and pneumology in Oradea was announced in November 2020, in full pandemic, by the former mayor of Oradia, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, notes the local press.
The construction of the hospital began in September 2024. According to the project, on the ground the hospital building will occupy about 10,000 square meters, and the total area will amount to 55,000 square meters.
