A 21 -year -old driver under the influence of alcohol was detained after being caught last night while driving chaotic on an intensely circulated artery. The young man was followed in police traffic, lost control of the car and hit three parked cars.

According to the Capital Police, last night, around 2:30, the police observed a car that was chaotic on Mihai Bravu road, from Calea Vitan to Camil Ressu Boulevard.

“The behavior of the driver was deviant and endangered the safety of road traffic. In this context, the police performed the regulatory stop signal, using the bright and acoustic signals of the special vehicle. The driver did not comply and accelerated, continuing to the Râmnicu Sărat Boulevard,” the police said.

Next to a building, the driver lost control of the direction and across three cars parked.

The police crew intervened immediately and blocked the car.

The driver, a 21 -year -old, tried to run away, opening the left door and causing minor damage to the police car, the police mention.

The policemen proceeded to immobilize it. The young man was tested with the ethyl test, which indicated an alcohol of 1.09.

“A crew was requested from the road brigade to test the driver. The result of testing with the ethyl tester indicated a value of 1.09 mg/l pure alcohol in the expired air, and the result of the drug test was negative,” according to the Capital Police.

The young man was headed to the National Institute of Legal Medicine for collecting biological evidence.

The police state that the incident resulted in only material damage, not being recorded victims.

The man was detained for 24 hours for “driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol” and “destruction”.
