The Kansky City Court sentenced the student who killed her newborn child in the toilet. This was reported in the investigation.

A terrible story occurred in February 2025. A 17-year-old college student at 38 weeks of pregnancy gave birth to a child in the toilet of the hostel. The girl deliberately left the baby in the toilet. Because of this, the newborn girl choked with water. Then the student put the child’s body in a bag and threw it into garbage.

The body of the newborn was discovered by the girl’s neighbors who suspected that something was wrong with her. They talked about the hostel to the teacher. Arriving at the place, doctors stated the death of the baby and hospitalized the woman in labor.

The examination showed that the child was born alive died as a result of drowning. In relation to a student from Kansk, a criminal case was opened under Art. 106 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder by a mother of a newborn child). The girl said to investigators that she did not know about pregnancy, and she took the process of childbirth for digestive problems.

The student found no mental disorders. Doctors found that the girl was fully aware of the nature of her actions. The prosecution requested her punishment in the form of 2 years 6 months in prison.

The student, on the other hand, did not admit the guilt of a crime and refused to testify in court, taking advantage of Art. 51 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation. As a result, the girl was appointed 1.5 years in a penal colony, at the time of the meeting, she reached the age of majority.
