Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday that there will be no Palestinian state. The statement was made during a ceremony to sign an important colonization project in the occupied West Bank.

“We will keep our promise: there will be no Palestinian state, this place belongs to us“, Netanyahu told the event organized in Maale Adumim, an Israeli colony east of Jerusalem, AFP reports, quoted by Agerpres.
“We will double the city's population”
The event was transmitted live by its services.
“We will keep our inheritance, earth and security (…) we will double the population of the city”, the Israeli prime minister continued.
Last month, Israel approved a key project for the construction of 3,400 housing in the West Bank, denounced by the UN and several foreign leaders because it would cut this Palestinian territory in two, compromising any territorial continuity of a possible Palestinian state. The project is known as E1.
The Israeli Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich, who asked for the project implementation and the annexation of the Westordania, in response to the ads of several countries regarding their intention to recognize a Palestinian state.
The UN Secretary General, Antonio Getterres, has firmly condemned this decision, the Palestinian authority denouncing it as a new stage in the “progressive annexation of the Westordan”.
