The study, conducted jointly with the Cluster 17 survey, covered five EU countries: France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Poland. In total, 5,302 respondents took part in it.

Most respondents in every country, apart from Poland, declared that they had heard about an EU agreement and understanding its content. In Poland, 53 percent respondents admitted that “they heard about the contract, but they do not know exactly what he concerned” and 29 percent. She never heard of her.
On average, 52 percent Europeans decided that the European Union had undergone US pressure on an agreement. As emphasized in the report, “in the face of such a technical issue as customs, this result is significant and shows that the agreement caused a political and emotional reaction exceeding the technical sphere.”
Respondents agreed that European companies will feel the effects of new duties introduced by Donald Trump's administration the most. In Germany, Spain, France and Italy, the KE criticism was particularly strong, while in Poland opinions were more divided – many respondents blamed individual Member States rather than chairman of the EC. In Germany, as much as 70 percent people believe that von der Leyen has not protected the interests of the EU.

Asked if they want to leave the European Union, respondents from individual countries had different sentences. The Spaniards turned out to be the most attached to the community (85 % wants to remain), then Germany (74 percent), Italians (72 percent) and Poles (64 percent).
Comparing the results with the previous study of December 2024, the day after Trump's victory in the election, Le Grand Continent notes that on average by 4 percent The number of Europeans considering leaving the EU has increased.
