Dragoș Pîslaru reports abuses in the movements and courses of the employees under his subordination: “Why did he not invite him to take the course in Pitesti or Bucharest?”

The Minister of European Funds, Dragoș Pîslaru, said that several planned vocational training courses were identified in his subordination institutions, after the scandal of unjustified travel in Cyprus and Nice. The minister said that departures were planned in Malta, and for a single employee the cost of a course reached about 2,400 euros, without transport and accommodation.

“The problem is systemic”, said Pîslaru, emphasizing the contrast between austerity measures and the expenses for training in luxury hotels. The minister explained that these courses aimed at the generic training in the field of European funds, which could also be carried out in Romania, Pitesti or Bucharest.

“He was an internal trainer who spoke about European funds generically and what was coming from 2028. I do not think that an intermediate body, who has no role in negotiations, needed this type of training in the field. You do not go to the 5 -star hotel. Why did not invite him to keep the training course in Pitești or Bucharest? more serious to better withhold the information ”added the minister, in an interview for Digi24.ro. He said that Nice were 15 participants, and another 15 people were in Larnaca

As an immediate measure, Dragoș Pîslaru decided that all external displacements, public procurement and technical assistance activities should be approved directly by the minister.

In addition, the minister asked the employees to comply with a minimum code of conduct and adequate outfit, mentioning that there are isolated cases in which some are considered to be “Special” and does not respect the rules of the institution.

Last week, Dragoș Pîslaru sent the subordinate employees to pay more attention to the dress at work. The official stressed that the clothing must reflect professionalism and respect for the institution, avoiding indecent or extravagant outfits.

“The world sometimes dresses like a football match. I don't want to say slaps, but you don't come to the office as if you go to the street corner to take a few things. It's a matter of mutual respect. I don't ask for a suit and tie, but to be dressed decent.” Dragoș Pîslaru said.
