Blood overflow in Nepal. The police execute. The doctor's dramatic relationship

Most information agencies report that the protests started on Monday are related to blocking social media in Nepal. However, this is not the main reason for the dissatisfaction of young Nepalese from the Z generation, but only one of a few. However, social media played an important role. They were a drop that poured a cup of bitterness. It is in them that the lives of Nepalese prominent children flowing in the luxuries. In a country where the average salary is about PLN 1,200 per month, boiled.
Young Nepalese are fed up with corruption and nepotism of the elite
Saugat Thapa decided to publish a photo on the background of a “Christmas tree”. It was not an ordinary Christmas tree, but made of boxes of Louis Vuitton products. The average young Nepalese cannot afford any of the products of this luxury company. Not to mention the whole mountain of exclusive purchases.
The most important in this story is not the very fact of publishing an infantile photo, but who is his hero. Saugat is the son of Kumar Thapa, the Minister for Social Development. However, even his ministerial salary would not be able to cover such a lavish life. Nepalese people know how to combine dots. A large part of the property of people and people who consider themselves the elite of this country comes from corruption and nepotism.
The social campaign “Nepa Kids Nepal” has gained popularity in social media. This is a movement in which young Nepalese criticize children of politicians and influential people for using wealth and opportunities gained solely thanks to family connections, not personal merits.
Saugat Thapa became one of the main faces “Nepo Kids Nepal”. Like Jaiveer Singh Deuba, whose photos from Lamborghini were deleted by Nepalese authorities in local social media. The son of the former Prime Minister Nepal and the chairman of the local congress and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal Arzu, the wound of Deuba could not refrain from sharing his luxurious life on social media. In 2023 he got engaged to singer Shiva Shrestha, granddaughter of the former Ambassador Nepal.
Jaiveer was also the subject of public discussions as part of the “Nepo Kids Nepal” campaign due to accusations of using family influence, including alleged connections with transactions on the Hilton Hotel in Kathmandu. Under the magnifying glass was also Smit Dahal, granddaughter of Pushpa Kamala Dahal “Pruchanda”, former Prime Minister Nepal and chairman of the Maoist center. Her peers also accused the use of family connections in order to obtain benefits.

Young Nepalese went out into the streets in protest against the corruption of power
Young Nepalese were increasingly frustrated. A country of brave Soldiers of Gurkh, famous Sherpas accompanying daredevils dreaming of reaching the highest peaks of the Himalayas, is heading towards the abyss. Despite the beautiful landscapes, excellent food, centuries -old culture and strong family and social ties, most of the young inhabitants of this country, pressed between China and India, do not see their future in their own homeland. In the country of Viral, recordings have become in which the answer to the questions: “What is best to do in Nepal?” The United States, Australia, Great Britain, Dubai are the most popular directions of Nepalese emigration.
Some of them are still too young or too poor to leave. A few days ago, the government hit them.
The government wanted to close their mouths to young Nepalians. He added olive oil to the fire
On September 4, the Nepal government under the leadership of the Prime Minister (the office is held by KP Sharma Ola) banned the use of 26 popular social media, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn and Reddit. This decision, according to the official version, was made in response to the non -registration of these platforms in the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. The ban had an immediate impact on millions of Nepalese, including students, migrating employees and content creators who used these platforms for communication, education and earnings. The tourism industry also suffered seriously, because social media was a key tool for promotion and communication with travelers.
Protests broke out in the capital of Nepal Kathmandu. Young people demanded that the restrictions be lifted and the fight against corruption. Protests were referred to as “unprecedented” due to the large number of participants, including pupils and students, many of whom were wearing school uniforms. The police response was disproportionate to the situation. They used water cannons, tear gas, sticks and rubber bullets to distract the crowd. Then the fire was opened towards the protesters, using acute ammunition. Pictures of deadly wounded students circulated world media.

The police used force on the protesters
Police spokesman Shekhar Khanal said that the use of force was necessary after the protesters broke into the limited access zone. The Minister of Communication, Prithvi Subba, defended police activities, claiming that tear gas and water cannons were used first, and acute ammunition was used in response to escalation. However, the recordings show how many victims were killed by precise head shots.

Nepalese police used firearms against protesters
According to reports coming from Nepal, over 20 people were killed on Monday, about 80 are in a critical condition, and over 500 were injured.
The police reaction is shocking. The more that the authorities do not cope with crime, and in the face of protesting students it was decided to use acute ammunition. Recordings of people who fell from bullets appeared on social media. The materials are too drastic to show them.
May also be shocked by the fact that The police were shooting at ambulances and other vehicles that came to take the wounded. After subsequent series, the crowd gathered around the parliament dispersed, but this did not mean the end of the drama. The owner of the cafe in the center of Kathmandu left in front of the premises with a pleading appeal so that the police would stop shooting at children. She died from the ball.
Unfortunately, there were more dramatic pictures from the capital of Nepal. A recording has been published, which shows how doctors from Civil Hospital are trying to stop the police. The young doctor says that only 150 victims stayed in her hospital. According to her account, at some point a police unit got into the emergency department, which … began shooting at defenseless people. As a result of the attack, many people were injured, several people died.
Five containers with tear gas were sprayed in the hospital. “Who gave you these orders?!” – asks in a raised voice a doctor who, together with another young doctor, tries to de -make the situation to avoid other unnecessary victims. Her appeals finally have an effect. People are afraid to leave the facility to avoid murder by those whose task should be protection.
However, the authorities do not stop there. Police hour was introduced. The recordings show groups of policemen patrolling deserted streets. There are also arrows. Going to the street can end in death. According to the possibilities, residents inform each other to stay at home. It is difficult because the social media, which was the main source of communication, remain blocked.
Nepalese emigrants are unsuccessfully trying to contact their loved ones in the country. It is estimated that about 4.5 million Nepalese people live outside the country. According to my Nepalese friends who, like me, live in Great Britain, is still a problem with contact with loved ones. It was similar in 2015, when the powerful earthquake hit the country, and the recordings from Nepal circulated the world media. The difference is that for many hours it was not possible to contact because of the natural disaster. This time the reason is the actions of its own government, which for temporary convenience loses the future of its youngest citizens.
One of the people who are unsuccessfully trying to contact his family in Nepal is the Manisha living in the British Isles. – The police should be from protecting, not to kill us. Young people and students living in Nepal should receive help from the state, and not be treated by them in such a way – he says in an interview with Onet. – Nobody has the right to kill another person. Police and politicians in Nepal behave like a mafia. They kill innocent pupils and students. We demand justice, and they should be punished.
At the time of writing this text in Nepal, a curfew lasts. There is no doubt that the balance of victims of the tragic events from Kathmandu will grow. Especially since many wounded are in a critical condition. However, it seems that the government has not yet said the last word in its barbarism. Nepalese living in the Islands write about a black day in Nepal's history. They have no doubt that the current authorities must step down, and the new government must not only seriously deal with the problem of corruption, but also to settle the guilty bloodshed.
