President FSLI, Simion Hăncescu, made an appeal to teachers on Saturday, claiming that they have a duty to continue the protests, until the austerity measures are repealed, otherwise other measures against teachers will be taken.

“Appeal to solidarity: if we are not all, education will be irretrievably destroyed by the Bolojan Government! The educational system crosses the hardest period, of the last 35 years, due to the measures taken by Law 141/2025. These measures have been taken without a study from the impact and without taking into account that the consequences of these measures can have an extremely harmful effects. Equal extent students, but also teachers, ”Hăncescu wrote in a message published on Facebook.

The trade union leader argues that “the cynical measures taken by the Bolojan government, with the unanimous acceptance of the political parties that support the current government, do nothing but throw the Romanian education 15-20 years ago, which is still a proof that the political class has not given and does not give two money.”

Hăncescu also says that in a normal country education must be protected in a period of austerity and urged teachers to ask for their rights.

“We must be aware that these measures are with a long beating, the hidden reason being that of destroying state pre -university education and by no means the argument that there is not enough money to cover salaries and scholarships, until the end of this year. Give more to think and determine us, in mass, to ask for our rights, in the street, ”said Hăncescu.

“We have a duty to continue the protests, until the austerity measures are repealed, otherwise other measures will be taken against teachers. Our massive implication will be translated by simple governors: we can control them, we can close their mouths! So it is? Strong! ”, The trade unionist stressed.

Simion Hăncescu also showed that on September 8 is the first great protest – the Education March.

“We must show that we are united, in order to regain our dignity trampled by those who are now in power. If each teacher is aware of the severity of the situation and the need to involve the opening of the school year and in the following protests, then the destruction of education will not be guaranteed! The union leaders cannot obtain the repeal of the impossible measures taken by the Bolojan Government.

Just a few days before the beginning of the new school year, the education unions announced the boycott of the scheduled festivities on September 8th.

Asked what will happen Monday, with the beginning of the new school year, Marius Nistor, the president of the “Spiru Haret” Trade Union Federation, said that the teachers will not participate in festivities, but will protest. The trade union leader appealed to parents and students to join the protesters in Victoriei Square, according to Digi24.
