– You have forgotten about such people who work hard a long time ago – said Tusk during one of the pre -election visits. According to him, a higher free amount would symbolize a fair tax system, allowing people earning up to 6,000. PLN up to PLN 300 more per month.
However, according to the conversation Minister of Finance Andrzej Domański in Onet in the morning, this ambitious project will not be implemented in 2026., nor – as indicated – with high probability also the following year. Domański noted that although many promises have already been filled, budget priorities for the coming years, including expenses for infrastructure or energy investments, may rule out raising the free amount to the announced level. – This project will be very difficult in 2027 – admitted the minister.
How do Poles look at this topic? A study at the request of Onet by SW Research shows that as much as 39.9 percent. respondents believe that raising a tax -free amount should be a priority of the government, even at the cost of increasing the budget deficit. The opposite opinion is 29.2 percent, while as much as 31 percent He failed to express his opinion by choosing the “hard to say” option.
Interestingly, support for this solution depends to a large extent on the sex and age of the respondents. Men than women are much more likely to increase the free amount (46.5 percent against 34.1 percent). As for age, the greatest support was recorded in groups of 35-49 years (43.2 percent) and 25-34 years (40.7 percent).
The study was carried out for Onet on September 2-3, 2025 by the SW Research agency, which conducted 830 surveys by computer interviews (CAWI).
