Poczta Polska focuses on cash. The president announces new investments


“We do not follow fashion, we follow the client. Cash is one of the pillars of the transformation of Poczta Polska, not a relic of the past” – announced at the Cash Service Congress in Warsaw President of Poczta Polska Sebastian Mikosz.
Poczta Polska is today one of the largest cash logistics operators in the country. As the only institution in the country, he has NBP deposits in its treasures. President Mikosz announced further investments in systems supporting process automation and the development of the fleet and treasury infrastructure. “We absolutely do not intend to leave this market. Quite the opposite. We have a plan to invest in cash service – both in Cash-in-Transit and B2C cash. (…) wherever there will be institutions or businesses that are withdrawing from cash, even banks that do not want to have in cash services, we want to go there ” – he emphasized.
Poczta Polska reminds that its branches are often the only point of cash withdrawals where bank and ATM branches have disappeared.
Cash in the economy. What for?
Cash in the economy acts as a widely accepted means of payment, which allows you to quickly and directly make transactions without the need for electronic systems. It is particularly important in situations of financial infrastructure failure, in areas with poor access to banking or in the case of digitally excluded people.
