UniCredit Bank and Alpha Bank Romania announce that card owners can use the ATMs of both banks with the same costs. The two banks are part of the same bank group

Starting with April 2025, Alpha Bank Romania customers can use their cards for lifting/depositing cash, checking the hip or other operations at the UniCredit Bank ATMsunder the same cost conditions, applicable for the use of Alpha Bank ATMs. At the same time, UniCredit customers They have access to the Alpha Bank Romania ATM network, under the same cost conditions they have at the UniCredit Bank ATMs.
The two banks are, from November 2024, part of the same banking group and are in a merger process to be concluded in the second part of this year.
“The teams of the two banks work intensely together to make the transition of Alpha Bank Romania customers as simple as the merger progresses. We are glad that Alpha Bank and UniCredit card holders can now use an extended network of ATMs. It is still a step to our destination, to become a stronger bank.” said Mihaela Lupu, CEO UniCredit Bank.
Customers of the two banks – natural persons and companies – have access to a network of almost 900 ATMs throughout the country for carrying out banking operations.
The merger process of the two banks is in progress and represents the integration of two complementary banks, both with long -term relationships and expertise. The Unicredit Bank and Alpha Bank Romania reunited experience, both in the corporate and retail segment, will strengthen the UniCredit position on the banking market in Romania.
