“The first day of school will not be a festive one. Our colleagues were directed to go to the classrooms, the parents were directed to take their children directly to the classes and the authorities will not be accepted,” said the leader of Sîp Buzău, Ion Dobre, in a press release.
He also stated that there are school principals who would have tried to cause teachers to give up the protest.
“I have heard that there are certain school principals who have threatened teachers that if the school year will not be opened, the teachers will endure the consequences. I personally do not think this approach is especially because we have announced this form of protest”, added the union leader.
In reply, the Minister of Education, Daniel David, urged his parents to take their children to school on Monday and declared optimistic that the hours will start normally.
“I send parents to take the children to school. The essence of a teacher, that he is a trade union or that he is a non -indigestion, when he has a child in front of the school invites him to school and in the classroom. said the minister.
Romania will be divided at the beginning of the school year by the teachers' decision to boycott the festivities. The unions still gather the options of teachers in schools, from centralized data until Thursday, September 4, showing that most teachers are determined to miss from the traditional opening festivity of the 2025-2026 school year.
In parallel, the management of a high school in Timisoara announced that it replaces the opening festival of the school year with a picnic in the school yard, to which it invites students and parents. From other schools, parents received messages that no festivities are organized and even not send their children to school.
