The public also reported that there was no light on the streets of Blegorod. Street lighting is also turned off in the suburbs – in the village of Streletskoye, the village of Dubovoe, the Vostochny microdistrict, the village of Repnoye and a number of other settlements.
The mayor of Belgorod, Valentin Demidov, said that the city has limited the operation of outdoor lighting in order to reduce the load on energy facilities, the Telegram channel “Tin Belgorod” wrote.
Context
The aggressor country of the Russian Federation regularly attacks Ukrainian energy facilities. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky explained that Kyiv’s task is to respond to such attacks.
This is not the first time Belgorod energy facilities have come under attack. After the attacks 5 and October 6 the light went out in the city. Local authorities called on Russians to prepare generators.
