Speaking during the Congress of the European People's Party in Valencia, the leader of the Motherland called on European allies to decide on the new steps necessary to achieve just peace.
First of all, it is necessary to accelerate Ukraine's accession to the EU without waiting for 2030, to support the Ukrainian economy, to create a system of common European security, to maximize and accelerate military and technical assistance to Ukraine, to take specific actions to use frozen Russian assets and to extend sanctions to key industries.
Tymoshenko stated that the future plan of peace, restoration and development of Ukraine should provide for the modernization of the entire Ukrainian state, and not only the reconstruction of infrastructure, roads and cities.
Separately, she thanked the governments of European countries for supporting Ukrainian refugees and asked to continue to help compatriots who were forced to go abroad, running away from the horrors of war. The leader of the Motherland added that 7 million Ukrainians who have left their homes dream of returning home, as soon as the conditions appear.
