Prices in Poland and in the Czech Republic. We checked where they grow faster

In Poland, prices are rising on average at a rate of 2.8 percent. per year – the Central Statistical Office said a few days ago. This means a decrease in inflation from 3.1 percent. recorded in July. There is not much lack of up to 2.5 percent, i.e. the level that is the goal of the NBP, and has not been achieved for a long time. It is assumed that with this price increase, the Polish economy is developing best.
The Czechs achieved exactly the same level of inflation as it dreams in Poland. According to preliminary estimates published on Thursday by the Statistical Office, Consumer prices increased within a month by 0.1 percent. and 2.5 percent on an annual basis.

Inflation in the Czech Republic and interest rates
Inflation in the Czech Republic is lower than in Poland, exactly for the NBP, but above the level expected by the central bank (although it is located in the range). In our southern neighbors, the goal is to maintain the increase in the consumer price rate (CPI) at 2 %, with an acceptable deviation of +/— 1 percentage point.
Still slightly increased inflation inhibits the tendency of the Czech central bank to further reduction of interest rates. A month ago, the Czech National Bank (CNB) announced that it maintains interest rates unchanged. This means that the main interest rate is 3.5 percent. In Poland, at the same time, an analogous interest rate was 5 percent, and after Wednesday's reduction – 4.75 percent.
