“This is very dangerous for patients and doctors. Firstly, we have left many doctors, we can no longer provide assistance. We have already left all the anesthesiologists, we have no traumatologists, we have left the surgeons, so we can’t help,” Rudenko said.
The director noted that before the start of the Russian invasion of 750 people worked in the hospital, in early August there were 15 employees left here. After the last anesthetist was evacuated from the city, helping people with injuries were provided under local anesthesia.
“We sutured superficial wounds under local anesthesia, the wreckage, if there were metal ones there – with magnets there were detected – we also removed them. Well, we did what we could do, but it was even possible to name surgery,” Yuri Mousehsty said the head of the surgical department.
Rudenko added that the ambulance stopped working in Konstantinovka on August 12.
