“The skin melted.” 12 -year -old child saved at the last moment by his brother after a dangerous challenge on Tiktok

A 12 -year -old boy from the United States has gone through dramatic moments after trying to reproduce a viral challenge with fire on Tiktok. The child ignited his shirt and suffered serious burns, being saved at the last moment by his older brother.

The incident took place on August 16, in the family house in Coleman, Texas. The 12 -year -old boy – Caden Ballard and his brother tried to light a bottle filled with isopropyl alcohol, as they had seen on the social platform. The almost invisible flame immediately expanded and the boy's clothes caught fire.
Caden suffered burns of grades two and three on the chest, arms and body. His brother quickly snatched the shirt in flames and saved his life, after which the child was urgently transported to the hospital.
The boy's mother, Christina, told the Local Ktab (CBS) post that the image was shocking: “It looked like the skin was melted“, The Sun reports.
Difficult recovery and warning for parents
Christina explained that her son used to watch “Storytelling” type videos on Tiktok and did not expect to try dangerous experiments.
Doctors say that recovery will be long lasting and will require more operations and leather grafts. Family has launched a call to other parents: “You never know when something I see online can send them to the hospital or, worse, they can put their lives in danger”.
An increasingly dangerous phenomenon
The Texas tragedy is not an isolated case. In the UK, a 7 -year -old girl arrived in a coma after a popular “Needoh” type toy exploded in front of her, being introduced in the microwave after another inspired challenge of Tiktok.
