A breakthrough decision of an American court. Google must share with the competition

Google will not have to sell his Chrome web browser, but he will have to share the competition information – the US Federal Judge ruled. Such a ruling was taken after a long -term court battle regarding the domination of Google on the search engine market.

The case concerned Google's position as the default search engine in a number of own products such as Android and Chrome, as well as in other Apple products. The US Department of Justice demanded from Google the sale of the Chrome browser – Tuesday, however, the court's decision means that the technological giant may stop it, but it will not be able to conclude exclusive contracts and will have to provide competitors' search details.

The judge of the District Court Amit Mehta also ruled that Google can keep his Android operating system, which, together with the Chrome browser, contributes to the dominant Google position on the online advertising market.

Last year, Judge Mehta stated that Google has an illegal monopoly in the field of internet search and advertising related to this market.
