The meeting of President Nicușor Dan with the leaders of the Coalition takes place on Tuesday, at 12:00, at the Cotroceni Palace, one day after Ilie Bolojan assumed the responsibility in Parliament for the fiscal package 2, and the PSD opposed the reform of the local administration.
The meeting was requested by Nicușor Dan, in the context of the tensions in the coalition, Prime Minister Bolojan threatening even with resignation. The discussions are present Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, also the leader of PNL, Sorin Grindeanu (PSD), Dominic Fritz (USR) and Kelemen Hunor, the UDMR leader who confirmed today's meeting in Cotroceni.
“Of course, after the beginning of the parliamentary session, it was also the case to meet the presidents with the leaders of the coalition. It is absolutely natural to happen, there is nothing wrong. And yes, the president is a mediator, if he has to mediate something … at this moment he should not be speculated,” said Kelemen Hunor on Monday.
The UDMR leader also said that the meeting is absolutely normal at the beginning of the parliamentary session “and if it were not that situation with assuming the local and central authorities.” He acknowledged that some clarifications are needed regarding the layoffs that will be done in the local and central administration and that it takes two or three weeks for an analysis.
The members of the Government adopted, on Friday, five of the six draft laws in the package 2. The sixth, which refers to the reform of the local and central public administration, was redissed on Sunday, but the parties did not agree that the project was postponed for another two weeks.
