NATO and Poland in the fight against hybrid threats


On Monday, the European Commission announced that the operation of the Aircraft GPS system, which the day before the head of the EC Ursula von der Leyen flew from Warsaw to Bulgaria, was disturbed. The EC received information from the Bulgarian authorities that Russia is suspected of drowning out.

NATO Secretary of NATO Mark Rutte referred to the case on Monday, who assured that the alliance “works day and night” to prevent GPS jamming in NATO and EU countries, as well as In the Baltic Sea, where GPS disturbances have become very common in recent months.

When asked about this case in an interview with journalists during the arms fair in Kielce, the head of the Ministry of National Defense assessed that “this is the hybrid war”, led against Poland, NATO and the EU by Russia. He reminded that Poland cooperates to ensure security in the Baltic Sea, among others with Scandinavian states, conducting e.g. joint patrols and ship exercises.
